Saturday Market and Mo's

We picked Mom up from the airport without a hitch and drove over to Saturday Market.  Great entertainment and lots of cool artists.

After we finished wandering through booths, we decided to get out of the city and hit the coast a day early.  Mo's for a late lunch!!  Lincoln City

Walking along the beach at Lincoln City before hitting 101.
Paul and Alyce offered a place to stay for the night and after checking out our future house on the bay front, we drove to Toledo.  We couldn't wait and pulled out the chocolate and fun stuff.  Jansen made everyone bottle openers made of wood.
The next morning Jansen and I hit the bayfront for breakfast of Mo's chowder.  We found a really cool toy shop and looked for Katy's glass tiles at a gallery, but they didn't have any to add to my collection.  The fishing tours were coming in.
Mom and Alyce met us in town.

After Mo's, Jansen and I hit the beach at Seal Rock, then Brian's gallery.  Brian McEneny and his wife are good friends of Paul and Alyce's and I have visited his gallery since my parents took me as a little girl.  I love his work and have two great pieces from him.  Jansen and I were looking for a new piece that hooked our hearts.  We didn't find what we were looking for on the floor, but Brian took us through his work shop and showed us three pieces he was  working on.  We found our guy!  He is a very cool little seal with eyes that reflect his soul.  He is on a gorgeous piece of wood that will not fit as a carry-on for our flight, so we will have to cut the base, which I hate, but I wouldn't feel right putting him in the cargo bay under the plane.

Next we stopped at the glass blowing shop and Alyce looked for glass lamp shades for her house and we watched the artist create a glass float.

Our pile of chocolate back at Alyce's house.
 Blackberries behind the house.
Paul lit up this rock that was a gift for his birthday.  It's looks pretty cool.

More fun to come!
