While in Texas celebrating my parents 50th anniversary, we also visited with Shey's family in our hometown, Comfort, TX.
Kenneth's wife has a cool little shop across the street from our old family home. Kristina and Kenneth make really neat tables, chairs, decorative pieces, out of things they find on their properties outside of Comfort and south TX.
This is made with a piece of wood from Kenneth's family mill. The Flach Mill. We were thrilled to receive it as a gift and it traveled safely in our luggage and has been on our dining room table. Shey would like to put a plaque on it with the information on the mill. He has told me some great stories about the mill and I will have to do some research.
This is the Lindner Feed Mill in the center of Comfort. Growing bigger and bigger.
We also went out to visit Shey's sister, Amber. She is a wonderful sister-in-law and she and her husband, Donnie, live right next door to Glenn, with Glenn's big garden very close by. We walked down to pick blackberries. Lots of blackberries!

There were lots of baby birds of all sizes in the bird house.

Donnie's oldest son, Trae was visiting with his little girl, so we got to meet the first grandchild in Donnie and Amber's family. It's always nice to visit with them and catch up with Glenn's gardening news.
Sharing pecans with Tiger?
