Trip to Texas to visit family

We had a great trip to visit family in Texas over the weekend.

The boys and I rented a car and it was really fast and easy, then headed to Boerne to see Mom and Dad.

Our first stops were our favorite places to eat.....Taco Cabana and Bear Moon Bakery. Yum!

On Saturday morning we stopped by Rylie's work to visit. I have two nieces, Rylie and SaVanna, who are so cool and so much alike.

We made plans to see Aunt Ruth at the feed mill and Kay was there to give us a tour.

My grandfather built these posts out of a stack of 1 x 12's. My dad and grandfather helped build the feed bins.

Aunt Ruth has worked at the feed mill forever and she looked great! Glenn met us at the mill and we went to lunch together at a great little cafe that is now in the old firehouse.

Jansen, Aunt Ruth, Everett and Opa (Glenn) Jansen is holding the really cool new Lindner Feed hats that Aunt Ruth gave us. LOVE THEM!

Kay (the tour guide and all around cool guy) is in the center in the blue shirt.

After lunch we headed over to Suzanne's (Shey's mom)

Amber was there, too and we got to see Debbie, but I didn't get pictures.

After visiting Shey's family, we stopped by to see my Uncle Ace at the retirement home. He was sad that his rabbit was missing, but he looked good and happy to be there with his friends. I also saw the grandfather of an old high school friend of mine. Mr. Holekamp was looking quite dapper.

On Sunday, we took a road trip with Mom and Dad to Fredricksburg to look at antique tools, pick up some peaches and visit a winery.

Three Sisters Winery.

An old classmate of mine was working at this BBQ place, where we stopped for lunch. It was really good food!

My Super-Duper parallel parking job....

Jansen was drooling over Dad's work shed and he found some power tools for Jansen to bring home. They disguised the box as a cardboard suitcase....:>)

It was a very nice and relaxing trip and it was great to see everybody looking so happy and healthy.
